Couples and Individual Therapy

Co-owner

Welcome to the Cozy Couch! I am the co-owner and psychotherapist at Cozy Couch Counseling, PLLC. As our name suggests, I am here to provide a safe and comfortable space to address your needs. I have been practicing therapy as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the last 8 years. I am passionate about working with couples and individuals presenting with relationship concerns, anxiety, communication issues and difficult upbringing. It is very rewarding to watch my clients gain insight into the patterns that they want to change, strengthen their relationships, resolve conflict, rebuild their relationship after an infidelity and manage their stress and anxiety.

When I am not working, I enjoy going on fun adventures with my husband and adorable daughter, and spending time with friends.

What do therapy sessions feel like?

My therapeutic style is warm but direct, active and goal oriented. I enjoy challenging my clients to see the results they are looking for in therapy, balancing exploration with direct feedback. I believe that each client needs something different, so I tailor therapy to the needs and wants of the client. I am not a passive therapist. My goal is for you to make progress and that you leave therapy in a much better place that you came in.

What do clients say?

Clients often say that they enjoy my direct style and being challenged. Couples really enjoy the structure and effectiveness of the Gottman approach. Many couples that have tried other types of therapy report preferring Gottman. Clients appreciate that it is an evidence based intervention designed to give them concrete tools and communication skills that help them resolve conflict in a more productive way.

Anna provides services in both English and Russian.

    Individual Therapy

    Co-owner

Hi there! I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with a passion for helping emerging adults and adults live their best lives. I received my Master's degree in counseling from Northwestern University in 2015, and since then, I have worked in a variety of settings to provide therapy to individuals struggling with a range of issues.

My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, family of origin issues, attachment issues, self-esteem, boundary setting, and perfectionism. I have worked with clients of all ages, from children to older adults, and I have experience treating a wide variety of presenting concerns and needs.

My therapeutic approach is centered around creating a warm and empathic environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their emotions and experiences. I use psychodynamic and client-centered therapy to help clients better understand themselves and their relationships with others. Additionally, depending on the client's needs, I may incorporate other evidence-based treatment modalities such as ACT and CBT.

My therapeutic style is client led and organic. Sessions will feel much like a conversation. I utilize humor and active listening during sessions. I am not a blank slate therapist. I am feeling focused, engaged , empathetic and expressive during sessions.

Whether you are struggling with a specific issue or simply want to explore your emotions and experiences in a safe and supportive space, I am here to help. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you would like to schedule a consultation or learn more about my services.
